All 450 Circle K stores in Taiwan will have two PST-1010 terminals installed per store. The installations are scheduled to be completed by September 1999. Circle K is also opening 25 new stores per month from July 1999, until June 2000. All of these new stores will also be fitted with PST-1010's. There will be a totalof 1500 POSIFLEX terminals installed at Circle K. |

Circle K Taiwan is a convenience store chain with outlets throughout the country. There are over 450 stores in Taiwan and they are open 24 hours a day. Management at Circle K-Taiwan was faced with aging equipment and eminent danger from the year 2000 bug. Circle K management decided to replace all of their electronic cash registers and point-of-sale terminals to solve their Y2K problem and upgrade their equipment to the latest state-of-the-art. They needed more speed and diverse information from their terminals. |
